I have just returned from a wonderful training session sponsored by IBEC and FAS. It was put together by an organisation called NETWORTH and delivered by a really professional lady called Sandra. The course was on how to structure and deliver a presentation. We learned all that and then we had to design and present ourselves in a 3 minute slot. Immediately after each presentation we got feedback from Sandra about how we had come across. Each presentation was videoed and she went over each one in detail when they were played back. A day very well spent indeed.
I was awarded CUBA yesterday at my BNI chapter. I won this award for being the one to best plagiarise Gerard Tannam's presentation involving roads and statues - Thank Goodness I have to give it back next week !

I have been trying to encourage my son to be better than his dad. He sees this as a big task but of course that is not the case. Already he's better than me at lots of things but he's only 7 years old !
One piece of Philosophy I am trying to pass on to him is that no tree is so foolish as to have branches that fight among themselves. When I first told him this, I took it to mean that it is foolish for us to squabble with each other. It does carry that meaning but I have found that it can also relate to inner conflict. We cannot be peaceful still and objective if our minds are constantly pulling us in opposite directions. We need to make decisions, knowing the full consequences of them and stick to them, even if the going gets a little rough. That way we will be at peace with ourselves.
Hello Everyone, This is my first attempt at a Blog. I have created this as a forum for my Business and my Philosophy. Each week I hope to post new and exciting material here. I will be letting people know about new products and business opportunities as well as sharing my thoughts on the working life.
